In the weeks leading up to the marathon, I was desperately trying to hold my training together and not let my muscle strain throw all my hard work away. I was getting to the point where I was willing to try many different alternatives to see if anything worked.....arnica, icy hot, extra Vitamin E supplements. Nothing seemed to be helping (probably because it needed some time to calm down!). Somehow it made it around the 26 miles......but it was absolute agony walking around later that day.
During the week of Thanksgiving, I could tell that my muscle strain was still very much there. Although it did not hurt when I walked (and I was taking my time off so no running), I knew in my heart it had not yet healed.
That week, my coach showed me a small sample bottle that he had been given displaying the logo "Primal Sport Mud". At first I dismissed it, pushing aside the supporting paperwork, not even reading what it had to say. A few days later it was brought up in conversation with my friend Tim (an athletic trainer). I became intrigued, and read up on Primal Sport Mud; the logic behind it seemed to make sense. I decided it was worth a try, if it did not work, I had not lost anything.

After the 20 minutes, I went to the shower and turned on the hot water......the mud came right off, without even touching it....Phew! I then set about my day as normal.
As you should know by now, when I do something I commit to it 100%, so by giving the primal mud a chance, I was agreeing (internally) to use it twice a day for at least a few days. At first I did not notice a difference, but on the third day, I noticed a shocking improvement. I could no longer feel my strain, the swelling had reduced SIGNIFICANTLY, and I (am usually very critical of new products) was absolutely blown away by how well it was working.
Sold. This stuff works!
I am still using the same bottle of Primal Mud two weeks later (value for money!), and my leg is getting better each day (remember I am still running 6 miles a day on it!) I am so grateful I was able to connect with the Vice President of Primal Sport Mud, Jeff Sangalli. He has informed me of new ways to use it in the future (which I hopefully will not need to use, but realistically probably will). I have been recommending it to my athletes and running friends; especially the fast ones....like my dear friend, Frances Koons (15:34 5K) who wants to use it.

I would not be recommending a product I was not 100% bought into, this is one of very few new products that I completely believe in. I hope you do not ever have to use it, but if you are suffering from Achilles problems, tendinitis, muscle issues, I am encouraging you to get some of this right now so you can get back to doing what you love!
